A
highly dedicated team of staff ensure that all children
receive a challenging, fun filled and rewarding curriculum.
Currently two members of staff have been recognised as Leading
English and ICT teachers who provide support to teachers
in other schools. |
|
|
| Children
are encouraged to develop as caring and considerate citizens
of the future. They are given opportunities to contribute
to the decision making process of the school through getting
involved in class and school councils. Children regularly
participate in fundraising events in order to raise money
for charity and are given responsibilities such as leading
acts of collective worship or helping to run the school
library. |

We
provide a fun and flexible curriculum. Themed weeks are
organised termly which provide opportunities for staff and
children to work together across the school on a range of
creative activities. In the past themes have included 'Music
Around the World' which included every child taking part
in an African drumming workshop and 'Victory in Europe'
which finished in the whole school getting together to hold
an outside street party. The curriculum is further enriched
through an extensive range of after school activities and
school visits. |

The
school is extensively networked and boasts its own computer
suite, enabling regular access by pupils.
All
classrooms are equipped with interactive white-boards
and projectors allowing ICT to be delivered in all classes.

Parents
are warmly invited to participate in school life. Parents
regularly help hear children read and support in the classroom
with art and design technology activities. They are invited
to school productions and weekly acts of collective worship
which are led by the children. |

|
| Special
provision is made for pupils with special needs and those
with learning difficulties. |
